As I, and the rest of my community continue to grapple with the destruction and devastation of so many homes, businesses and places of worship, I needed to go on a quest for the beauty that is Altadena, CA.
Some of these properties belong to friends, others to complete strangers. But all to Altadenans.

Beautiful photos. I posted a few as well. I live on the other side, near Allen. Our neighborhood was also fine; the swirling winds on Tuesday pushed the fire east then over us and the slamming down lake. I remember just going blank when I looked at the window at ~ 6:30 pm on Tuesday and saw the mountains on fire.
Still some green leaves on the bottom of my mango tree at the ZGE. So hard to see it all. I've been avoiding driving through.
